Goji Berry
Goji Berry has been used for over 6,000 years by herbalists in China, India and Tibet. It has been documented to: protect the liver, help eyesight, improve sexual function and fertility, strengthen the legs, boost immune function, improve circulation, and promote longevity. The science behind all these documented claims has been proven in the ingredients. Goji berries are very rich in anti-oxidants and vitamins. It contains more vitamin C than oranges, B-complex, vitamin E, essential fatty acids, and betaine. Goji also contains a complete spectrum of anti-oxidant carotenoids including, beta carotene and zeaxanthin. Both of which protect the retina by helping to absorb blue light, which in the long run can help prevent the development of macular degeneration (AMD), the leading cause of blindness in people over the age of 65. A study containing 79 cancer patients also showed that patients responded better to treatment when goji was supplemented into their diet. Other tests have shown that goji can reduce blood glucose and lower cholesterol thus promoting better health and well being.
