I participated in the President’s call last night with Nuverus and it was great. Dr Leslie Jacobs spoke. She is a certified internal medicine specialist in Las Vegas . She is working on a health program which will include a book and focus on stress reduction, weight loss, and overall feeling better. They talked like it was close (I dialed in a few minutes late so I missed part of her presentation). Dr Georgeson (Medical Director for Nuverus and Euforia developer) told us the energy drink is very close. Dr Julian Bales also participated. Besides being a medical advisor to Nuverus, Dr Bales’ resume is pretty stout. I did some research on him before joining and his credentials are pretty impressive. Former Pittsburg Steeler team doctor, Head of Neurology at West Virginia University , Medical consultant to the NFL, etc. Certainly would be considered one of the premier Neurological specialists in the country. Anyway, he has the lead on the development of a heart and brain healthy product using omega 3’s among other things.  Several other company people spoke and then a few folks like us who are members and have had success spoke. Of course, it closed with Michael Jureau the President on Nuverus. He is a great speaker. Very motivational and funny. This guy has a passion for this company and where it is going. He has a passion for the opportunity it presents. Of course that all ties in with the corporate name. Nuverus. Verus means “life” so Nuverus means “New Life” which drives the slogan New Beginnings, Unlimited Possibilities.

Now, the part that was really motivational!!! Michael announced last night that they are adding a new twist to the double bonus for new recruits. Originally, it was recruit 5 new members by April (12^th I believe) and the company would double it. Get 5 more and they would double it again.  Last night Michael threw out the minimum number of 5 and said they will double the bonus for each new recruit. That got my attention! I even text messaged Dr Debord to verify that I heard that correctly.  This is a real opportunity not just for us but for folks you might be talking to. If you can get your new recruits signed up they will have 6 or 7 weeks to work this for their own gain as well. (more…)

Nigella sativa is an annual flowering plant, native to southwest Asia. It grows to 20–30 cm (7.9–12 in) tall, with finely divided, linear (but not thread-like) leaves. The flowers are delicate, and usually coloured pale blue and white, with 5–10 petals. The fruit is a large and inflated capsule composed of 3–7 united follicles, each containing numerous seeds. The seed is used as a spice.

Nigella Sativa (Black Seed)

In English, Nigella sativa seed is variously called fennel flower, nutmeg flower, Roman coriander, blackseed, black caraway, or black onion seed. Other names used, sometimes misleadingly, are onion seed and black sesame, both of which are similar-looking but unrelated. The seeds are frequently referred to as black cumin (as in Bengali: kalo jira, kalo jeera, kali jeera), but this is also used for a different spice, Bunium persicum. The scientific name is a derivative of Latin niger “black”. An older English name gith is now used for the corncockle. In English-speaking countries with large immigrant populations, it is also variously known as kalonji (Hindi कलौंजी kalauṃjī or कलोंजी kaloṃjī), kezah Hebrew קצח), chernushka (Russian), çörek otu (Turkish), habbat albarakah (Arabic حبه البركة ḥabbatu l-barakah “seed of blessing”) or siyah daneh (Persian سیاه‌دانه siyâh dâne)or كلونجى in urdu. “KARIM JEERAKAM” in Malayalam.

It is used as part of the spice mixture Panch Puran and by itself in a great many recipes in Bengali cookery and most recognizably in Naan Bread as sold in the 90% of Indian restaurants in the UK which are in fact Bengali owned. (more…)

Resveratrol (trans-resveratrol) is a phytoalexin produced naturally by several plants when under attack by pathogens such as bacteria or fungi. Resveratrol has also been produced by chemical synthesis and is sold as a nutritional supplement derived primarily from Japanese knotweed. In mouse and rat experiments, anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory, blood-sugar-lowering and other beneficial cardiovascular effects of resveratrol have been reported. Most of these results have yet to be replicated in humans. In the only positive human trial, extremely high doses (3–5 g) of resveratrol in a proprietary formulation have been necessary to significantly lower blood sugar. Resveratrol is found in the skin of red grapes and is a constituent of red wine, but apparently not in sufficient amounts to explain the French paradox. Experiments have shown that resveratrol treatment extended the life of fruit flies, nematode worms and short-lived fish but it did not increase the life span of mice. (more…)
