Good morning everyone,

I participated in the President’s call last night with Nuverus and it was great. Dr Leslie Jacobs spoke. She is a certified internal medicine specialist in Las Vegas . She is working on a health program which will include a book and focus on stress reduction, weight loss, and overall feeling better. They talked like it was close (I dialed in a few minutes late so I missed part of her presentation). Dr Georgeson (Medical Director for Nuverus and Euforia developer) told us the energy drink is very close. Dr Julian Bales also participated. Besides being a medical advisor to Nuverus, Dr Bales’ resume is pretty stout. I did some research on him before joining and his credentials are pretty impressive. Former Pittsburg Steeler team doctor, Head of Neurology at West Virginia University , Medical consultant to the NFL, etc. Certainly would be considered one of the premier Neurological specialists in the country. Anyway, he has the lead on the development of a heart and brain healthy product using omega 3’s among other things.  Several other company people spoke and then a few folks like us who are members and have had success spoke. Of course, it closed with Michael Jureau the President on Nuverus. He is a great speaker. Very motivational and funny. This guy has a passion for this company and where it is going. He has a passion for the opportunity it presents. Of course that all ties in with the corporate name. Nuverus. Verus means “life” so Nuverus means “New Life” which drives the slogan New Beginnings, Unlimited Possibilities.

Now, the part that was really motivational!!! Michael announced last night that they are adding a new twist to the double bonus for new recruits. Originally, it was recruit 5 new members by April (12^th I believe) and the company would double it. Get 5 more and they would double it again.  Last night Michael threw out the minimum number of 5 and said they will double the bonus for each new recruit. That got my attention! I even text messaged Dr Debord to verify that I heard that correctly.  This is a real opportunity not just for us but for folks you might be talking to. If you can get your new recruits signed up they will have 6 or 7 weeks to work this for their own gain as well.

1)       The training webinars are the best thing you can do for your business I think. They have gotten great feedback. The one on prospecting the other night was very good. It is recorded and should be in your back office. There are 3 of the 6 recorded and in the back office now under “training” and “webinar library” The other 3 will be recorded as they are presented. Attending live is best because you can ask questions but watching the replays is very good too.

2)       Use the call Monday thru Friday at 1 EST with Dr Debord. The number is in you back office under “training” and “calls”

3)       Use the Monday and Wed (8 pm EST and 11 pm EST) opportunity webinars to show people the program if you aren’t comfortable.

4)       Feel free to use Craig or myself whether it be over the phone, lunch, or whatever. Dr Debord will even help as his schedule permits.

Dr Drew put it best the other night when I heard him speak. Ask someone if they are getting the 6-8 servings of organic fruits and vegetables per day that their body needs. If they are, that is awesome. I’ll bet they aren’t doing it on $2-$4 per day.  If they are not, this is a simple and relatively inexpensive (as compared to buying and preparing organic fruits and vegetables) way to do it. He also has told us they changed the labels and children can take the Euforia product now. He recommended no more than 1 oz for 10 and younger. The question was raised about animals and he said it was ok for animals too. One other thing he shared that we need to keep an eye on is the Cancer Institute in Detroit has been doing some cancer studies. They seam to have found some links with two compounds that when combined show promise in preventing colorectal cancer. Those two compounds are Resveratrol and Curcumin. Both are in Euforia. As they do more clinical trials and testing I will be anxious to hear the results.

Nigella Sativa (Black Seed)

In English, Nigella sativa seed is variously called fennel flower, nutmeg flower, Roman coriander, blackseed, black caraway, or black onion seed. Other names used, sometimes misleadingly, are onion seed and black sesame, both of which are similar-looking but unrelated. The seeds are frequently referred to as black cumin (as in Bengali: kalo jira, kalo jeera, kali jeera), but this is also used for a different spice, Bunium persicum. The scientific name is a derivative of Latin niger “black”. An older English name gith is now used for the corncockle. In English-speaking countries with large immigrant populations, it is also variously known as kalonji (Hindi कलौंजी kalauṃjī or कलोंजी kaloṃjī), kezah Hebrew קצח), chernushka (Russian), çörek otu (Turkish), habbat albarakah (Arabic حبه البركة ḥabbatu l-barakah “seed of blessing”) or siyah daneh (Persian سیاه‌دانه siyâh dâne)or كلونجى in urdu. “KARIM JEERAKAM” in Malayalam.

It is used as part of the spice mixture Panch Puran and by itself in a great many recipes in Bengali cookery and most recognizably in Naan Bread as sold in the 90% of Indian restaurants in the UK which are in fact Bengali owned.

Scientific research

Black cumin oil contains nigellone, which protects guinea pigs from histamine-induced bronchial spasms (perhaps explaining its use to relieve the symptoms of asthma, bronchitis, and coughing).

The presence of an anti-tumor sterol, beta-sitosterol, lends credence to its traditional use to treat abscesses and tumors of the abdomen, eyes, and liver.

Nigella sativa oil has been reported to be effective in treating opioid dependence.

Nigella sativa also has been reported to reduce calculi formation in rats’ kidney.

Thymoquinone and pancreatic cancer treatment

Researchers at the Kimmel Cancer Center at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia have found that thymoquinone, an extract of nigella sativa seed oil, blocked pancreatic cancer cell growth and killed the cells by enhancing the process of programmed cell death, (apoptosis). While the studies are in the early stages, the findings suggest that thymoquinone could eventually have some use as a preventative strategy in patients who have gone through surgery and chemotherapy or in individuals who are at a high risk of developing cancer.

Life extension

The groups of Howitz and Sinclair reported in 2003 in the journal Nature that resveratrol significantly extends the lifespan of the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Later studies conducted by Sinclair showed that resveratrol also prolongs the lifespan of the worm Caenorhabditis elegans and the fruit fly Drosophila melanogaster. In 2007, a different group of researchers was able to reproduce Sinclair’s results with Caenorhabditis elegans, but a third group could not achieve consistent increases in lifespan of D. melanogaster or C. elegans.

In 2006, Italian scientists obtained the first positive result of resveratrol supplementation in a vertebrate. Using a short-lived fish, Nothobranchius furzeri, with a median life span of nine weeks, they found that a maximal dose of resveratrol increased the median lifespan by 56%. Compared with the control fish at nine weeks, that is by the end of the latter’s life, the fish supplemented with resveratrol showed significantly higher general swimming activity and better learning to avoid an unpleasant stimulus. The authors noted a slight increase of mortality in young fish caused by resveratrol and hypothesized that it is its weak toxic action that stimulated the defense mechanisms and resulted in the life span extension.

Later the same year, Sinclair reported that resveratrol counteracted the detrimental effects of a high-fat diet in mice. The high fat diet was compounded by adding hydrogenated coconut oil to the standard diet; it provided 60% of energy from fat, and the mice on it consumed about 30% more calories than the mice on standard diet. Both the mice fed the standard diet and the high-fat diet plus 22 mg/kg resveratrol had a 30% lower risk of death than the mice on the high-fat diet.

Gene expression analysis indicated the addition of resveratrol opposed the alteration of 144 out of 153 gene pathways changed by the high-fat diet. Insulin and glucose levels in mice on the high-fat+resveratrol diet were closer to the mice on standard diet than to the mice on the high-fat diet. However, addition of resveratrol to the high-fat diet did not change the levels of free fatty acids and cholesterol, which were much higher than in the mice on standard diet. A further study by a group of scientists, which included Sinclair, indicated that resveratrol treatment had a range of beneficial effects in elderly mice but did not increase the longevity of ad libitum–fed mice when started midlife.

How they work can be classified in one of two ways:
